Week 28, Antenatal Class

Having a child in Singapore at 22, Young Mom Journey.

I went for my first Antenatal Class hosted by TMC, Wong Boh Boi. It was held at Suntec City Mall East Wing, Bove. Firstly, she showed us a video on mother's point of view of breastfeeding twins. It went on for about 8-10 Minutes, then we did some exercises.

EXERCISES AND STRETCHING:

We learnt how to sit. When you have your legs crossed, it is good to have the front elevated, this is when you are sitting on your tailbone.
When your legs are parallel to the hip, you are sitting on your pelvis. Some may feel more comfortable sitting this way but it was not the case for me.

She explained how sleeping on your back is not good for your respiratory system and sleeping on your side is the best.

Getting out of bed by lying on your side, using your arm to levitate your body up and use your hands to push yourself to a sitting position. Get on one knee, your hands on your thigh (NOT your knee), and push upwards.

Husbands must never pull you up while you are lying on your back as it will increase back pain and worsen your current condition.

However, if husbands want to help you get up from the floor they can. Wife can sit cross-legged, while husbands do a squat, hooking their arms under wife's pits and lightly pull you up while you undo your legs and push yourself up.

Mini Sumo squats, go down 45 degrees and back up.

She shared with us a few things about Myths and Traditional beliefs, to understand more about where these myths came from and if we should follow them.

I hope everyone is having a good day , thank you for reading ! Bye !
