Hey guys !

I had a day off from work and headed down to Dreamworks Animation: The Exhibition !

You can check out more details about the exhibition here.

There are 4 parts to this exhibition:
1. Character
2. Story
3. World
4. Drawing Room

Character

Dreamworks show you the process of creating a character. They show how the different characters have developed from a sketch that could be totally different to the finalized version.

Story

This second part shows us how the different movie plots developed. How the characters personality comes to life with the different antagonists and plot twists.

This man above is named Doug Cooper, Visual Effects Supervisor at DreamWorks Animation.
He brought us around on a tour and told us many insightful things about the movies and how the character Shrek was changed 3/4 of the way through the movie. His lipsyncing was all changed and brought us the Shrek we know now.

Just to bring this up to you guys, there are different activities that the Studio has brought to allow us to indulge in their work and skills.

There are tours that are going on and special interactive activities to attend to at the dates below:

In 'World', you can see how the animators puts together the bits and pieces of the background, color, texture and the overalls of the entire film; frame by frame.

There are other attractive things to look at like 'Dragon Flight' where toothless will bring you on a journey on his back, Ocean Simulators and more !

Please visit the exhibition as it was a gorgeous with vivid colors and beautiful ideas to inspire you.

There is also a mini shop at the end of the route where they sell t-shirts, key chains, drawing replicas of puss or spirit and books where fellow artists can purchase them to use for reference and inspiration.

I myself have bought one.

**************UPDATE 27 JUNE 2015************************
I found out that bookdepository sells the art of dreamworks animation and it sells at only SGD$55 with free shipping.
