Makeup Forever Aqua Rouge lip sticks

Hey sisters!!

I have recently started to try out the Makeup Forever products and I have fallen in love with one of their lipstick product.


I wanted to try a red shade but they did not have any reds and the number 9 Burgundy was the closest to red.

All the pictures below are applied without the gloss.

As a 2 step product, Aqua Rouge comes in a double-ended packaging consisting in 2 bottles connected by a black metallic ring.
The ergonomic applicator of the applicatore helps to paint lips precisely. Its texture is highly loaded in opaque pigments with a matt finish. Aqua Rouge is extremely stable and long lasting.
The transparent texture of the top coat provides a lacquer finish for extreme shine and comfort.
Available in 12 colors, each shade of Aqua Rouge

 Ingredients

 Top Coat:
Dimethicone, Cetyl PEG/PPG-10/1 Dimethicone, Cera Microcristallina (Microcrystalline Wax), Paraffin.

Color:
Isododecane, Polyisoprene, Disteardimonium Hectorite, Propylene Carbonate, Silica, Silica Dimethyl Silylate, Parfum (Fragrance), Pentaerythrityl Tetra-Di-t-Butyl Hydroxyhydrocinnamate, Dicalcium Phosphate, Tocopheryl Linoleate, Benzyl Alcohol, Benzyl Benzoate, Limonene, Citronellol, Geraniol, Linalool, Alpha-Isomethyl Ionone, [+/- CI 15850 (Red 6, Red 7 Lake), Mica, CI 77891 (Titanium Dioxide), CI 77491 (Iron Oxides), CI 42090 (Blue 1 Lake), CI 45410 (Red 28 Lake), CI 77492 (Iron Oxides)].

Number 9: Burgundy

The first thing you will notice when you open it is the gorgeous smell.

It has a light fragrance that I cannot describe. It just smells really good and it is such a bonus when your lipstick smells good.


It is a pure dark red color and it really suits my cool skin tone.


The first application is really smooth and it gets sticky as it sets.

It took around 20-30 minutes to officially set and OH MY GOD, it is transfer-proof.

I tried using the lipstick without the gloss to see how long it will last independently.


Just one swipe is enough to last for the rest of the day.

The images below are after I ate some fried prawn noodles. 


It starts to get a little sticky and transfers a bit of color.



I really think that this lipstick is the best I have every had.

FINISHING: The end finish of the lipstick without the gloss is matte and it is transfer-proof.

TRANSFER PROOF: I always kiss my boyfriend and there will be no transfer UNLESS i ate, then there will be transfer and it gets a little sticky.

PIGMENTATION: Using one swipe is enough to achieve the colors above.

SETTING: You must be careful as it sets quite quickly.

PRICE: 41sgd for one lipstick is really pricey but it is really perfect.

Overall, I really love the lipsticks but the price brings me way down and contemplate about future purchasing them.
